Revamped Binders are coming to Legatics!
With the forthcoming release, we’ll be introducing revamped Binder capability to Legatics. With Binders, it will be possible to create client-ready binders in minutes, saving hours of work and reducing the risk of delay and costly mistakes.
Binders will make creating closing bundles simple. Users will be able to:
- Import documents from NetDocuments, iManage, Lists or their own device
- Organise documents into sections with drag-and-drop and a 3-level structure
- Choose either a contents-style or table-style binder index
- Configure index layouts and apply firm-branded index templates
- Automatically paginate, bookmark and hyperlink documents for easy navigation
- Export a single PDF binder or a zipped folder with indexed contents
You can see revamped Binders for yourself in our Storylane demo.
If you’re a System Admin, don’t forget to create your binder index templates ahead of launch to benefit from branded binder indexes. You can learn how here.
Project Finance Forum in Washington DC
We hosted our first-ever Project Finance Forum in Washington, D.C., exploring how to deliver increasingly complex project finance transactions of the future.
Key discussion points included:
- What’s driving greater complexity in project finance deals
- How new energy technologies and cross-border funding are reshaping the market
- Coordinating and aligning large, multi-party consortiums
- The role of technology in keeping deals on track and closing on time
Our CEO Anthony Seale, moderated the panel, joined by industry leaders:
- Clayton Steele, Associate General Counsel, DFC
- Jean-Paul Hupez, Chief Counsel, IFC
- Sami Asad Mir, Partner, A&O Shearman
The discussion revealed how smarter deal structuring, stronger collaboration, and legal tech platforms are transforming the way complex infrastructure projects are financed and delivered on time.
Legal Tech Hub Conference
The Legatics team attended the Legaltech Hub Innovation & Tech-Enabled Lawyering Conference, where our CCO Daniel Porus joined the panel: “Refining Legal Tech Procurement – A Debate Between Sell-Side and Buy-Side.”
Daniel’s key takeaways:
- Be transparent: If a deal isn’t moving forward, let vendors know early and explain why.
- Guide success: Vendors can help buyers define success criteria during pilots or early rollouts.
- Keep stakeholders aligned: Buyers should involve KM and innovation teams throughout procurement.
- Cut through the noise: In-person events and warm introductions are far more effective than cold outreach.
His overall message: vendors and buyers succeed faster when they understand each other’s worlds and build trust early.
Legal Geek – Europe & London
Our team recently headed to LegalGeek Europe in Amsterdam, where we joined hundreds of the brightest minds in legal tech and innovation. From our modest little booth, we had a steady stream of visitors – from long-standing customers to curious new faces — all eager to learn more about Legatics, what we’re building, and where we’re heading next.
On the main stage, Rob MacAdam delivered a rapid-fire 5-minute product spotlight, sharing our vision to go beyond closing management and help legal teams manage the whole deal – building a platform that’s increasingly end-to-end, strategic, connected, and intelligent.
We’re keeping the momentum going at Legal Geek London (15–16 October):
Anthony will take the stage on 15 October with a talk on unlocking the hidden value of transaction data. Catch the key insights here from his talk last year which used kitchen gadget analogies to explore why firms should take a problem-first approach when adopting technology.
Rob will deliver another product showcase on 16 October – catch it on the Disco stage if you missed his spotlight in Amsterdam.
Heading to Legal Geek London this year? We’d love to connect – come and meet the Legatics team at stand 27.
